Burns Night at Hawkhill House

Residents at Hawkhill House care home in Milltimber enjoyed a Burns lunch complete with piper and address to the Haggis on Monday 26 January 2016.

The celebratory lunch saw Piper Tom Sinclair pipe in the haggis, and local man Doug Duthie addressing the haggis. Residents then enjoyed their traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by a ‘wee dram’.

Burns Night commemorates the birth of legendary Scottish bard, Robert Burns, occurring every year on or around his birthday (25 January).
