Burns night at Galsworthy House

Burns was celebrated at Galsworthy House in Kingston upon Thames this week.

The residents gathered in the dining room looking forward to their spcial Scottish supper. But before supper was served one of our residents family members, Richard, and Tony the piper joined us for some themed entertainment.

Richard kindly read the Robert Burns poem ‘Address of the Haggis’ whilst the residents enjoyed a tipple of Scottish Whiskey.

Scottish Menu
Cock a leekie soup
Haggis neeps and tatties
with a choice of salmon

The supper was delicious, and to finish we enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee, all whilst the residents and care team enjoyed listening to our piper Tony playing “Scottish Soldier” and “Auld Lang Syne” and many more in the background, as much as possible.

A lovely time was had by all! Thank you for a fantastic Scottish celebration.
