Buckinghamshire residents enjoy beer tasting bash

At the request of one Hulcott resident, the activities team put together a special beer-tasting afternoon this week at the Buckinghamshire home recently.

There were plenty of peculiar beers on the menu at the popular event including Banana Bread, Golden Champion, which had an elderflower aroma, Fursty Ferrett, which tasted of Seville oranges and Old Thumper, which had a ‘moreish maltiness’ about it. The interactive afternoon was rounded off with tales being told of times spent at the residents’ own ‘locals’.

Located in the peaceful village of the same name, Hulcott is a 19th Century house providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
