Bread Making at East Hill House

We enjoyed an afternoon of making bread at East Hill House this week.

Individual care plans are built around our residents likes and interests, and we have lots of requests from residents for activities they would like to do at home. Mr Plumbley requested at our recent Activities meeting that we made some bread rolls. This was something he always used to enjoy doing with his wife and was very eager to do again.

Mr Plumbley was joined by other Residents at East Hill House, making bread was a part of daily life for a lot of the residents so they had the chance to reminisce about the times they shared with loved ones.

Doing an activity like bread making is great for the residents as it brings them together building their confidence and  concentration, these types of activities help keep them involved in the with what is happening around them. It also provides them with daily activities and exercises their brains.

We look forward to more great suggestions!
