Bonfire Night goes with a bang at Knowle Park!

Residents and staff at Knowle Park in Cranleigh, recently celebrated Guy Fawkes night with a whole range of festivities to help wash away those winter blues and get everyone ready for the upcoming festive season.

It all kicked off in the week leading up to the 5th November celebrations, with residents making the traditional ‘Guy,’ who would eventually take his rightful place on top of the bonfire.

During the afternoon of 5th November, many residents participated in an activity where they learnt more about the gunpowder plot and Guy Fawkes himself. Everyone found the session fascinating and enjoyed learning about the history of the day.

On the night itself everyone was wrapped up in blankets and coats to enjoy the bonfire, the burning of their guy and a spectacular firework display courtesy of the local Scout group. There was also a tasty BBQ prepared by the Knowle Park chef and his team, to see over 100 guests through the evening.

Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, that has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care of distinction for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
