Bollywood comes to Moorlands

Moorlands residents, relatives, friends and team recently got all decked out for a Bollywood themed extravaganza held on 28th June 2017 at our nursing home in Lightwater, Surrey.

Rajni, daugher of a former Moorlands resident, came with friends and a vast array of outfits for us all to wear.

What a sight and sound to behold with bright bejewelled colours everywhere you looked. Moorlands had never looked so exotic and vibrant – it was a real feast for the eyes.

Our dining room was transformed into a glitzy catwalk as we wore our outfits proudly and spun and twirled in all directions. Some of our residents looked like they were born to walk the catwalk.

We also had a dancing performance by Rajni and her friends; we were all encouraged to follow their performance with us all joining in and having a go too. Needless to say, we may not have been as talented but we all performed with much enthusiasim and gusto. It was so much fun for everyone.

That was not all; a veritable feast of mouth-watering delights soon followed with a selection of delicious indian cuisine and jugs of homemade lemonade.

Our residents, guests and team were buzzing with delight for the rest of the evening and it was agreed, a great time was had by all. It was a vibrant, fun and a really wonderful afternoon.
