Birthday Celebrations at Riverside Place

To celebrate a resident’s birthday at Riverside Place Care Home in Ware a surprise party was organised. As the resident had previously enjoyed Betty’s Tea Shop in Harrogate when she was younger the team thought it would be a lovely idea to have it in the style of a tea party.

It was a great opportunity for all the other resident’s and staff to get involved and they made a range of decorations to brighten the home up and add to the celebrations. Arts and crafts are a way for the resident’s to show their creative side, while keeping their hands and minds busy. It was wonderful to see them enjoying themselves and how proud they were of their hard work. The hospitality team also got involved by baking some home-made cakes and biscuits.

The party was a great success and the resident was overwhelmed with all the lovely things that made her birthday such a special day.

Riverside Place in Ware is our brand new, state-of-the-art nursing home providing the best in residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as convalescent and respite care for up to 72 residents.
