Animal encounter at Abbeycrest

The residents of Abbeycrest enjoyed a close encounter of the animal kind this week in the comfort of their own lounge.

Animal handler Owen brought in his selection of exotic animals to meet everyone including snakes, spiders and lizards. The residents had the chance to hold and stroke the animals if they wished, whilst learning more about them from Owen. For those who were not so keen on the exotic animals, there were a few more friendly faces including hedgehogs and a tortoise.

Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, Abbeycrest offers exceptional residential, nursing and dementia care in the heart of the Chilterns.
