A Very Caring Homes Christmas Card Competition
This year we had a fantastic response with residents and colleagues across Caring Homes submitting their expertly hand-crafted designs into three categories, resident, colleague and group/combined. The competition was extremely tight, and with 101 entries, it was very difficult to decide on three winners! The decision however was unanimous, and we are hugely proud to share with you the winning designs from; Caring Homes colleague, Jitto Joseph, a Registered General Nurse at Dormy House in Berkshire, resident Patricia Webb, from Southlands Place in Bexhill on Sea and the talented group of Sarah O'Donaghue, Janet Morris, Alice Fisher (Residents) Jackie, Debbie, Kathy, Annette and Abi (Colleagues) from Dormy House in Berkshire.
Designed by Jitto Joseph, RGN at Dormy House. Jitto said that this was, “An opportunity to show case difficult times. The Robin symbolises everyone's friendship and hope for a better year next year at Dormy House and the world.” Jitto will receive an iPad to stay in touch with loved ones, near and far, a framed picture of the winning card and a pack of winning printed cards.
Designed by Patricia Webb, resident, Southlands Place. Pat really enjoys being part of the art group and likes her design and we are delighted she chose to participate this year. Patricia will receive an iPad to help her to stay in touch with loved ones, a framed picture of the winning design and a pack of winning printed cards.
Designed by Sarah O'Donaghue, Janet Morris, Alice Fisher (Residents) Jackie, Debbie, Kathy, Annette and Abi (Colleagues) from Dormy House in Berkshire. Dormy House will receive an iPad for the Home to help residents to stay in touch, a £100 allowance towards festive treats, a framed picture of their card and a pack of winning printed cards.
As the standard was so high and to recognise the efforts of all those who entered the competition, we decided to produce a montage of the shortlisted entries. View Christmas card entries. We are certain you will all agree that we have some extremely talented people with us at Caring Homes!
Thank you to all the residents and colleagues who took the time to enter and for sharing their inspiring and creative talents with us.
Wishing all our residents, their families, and our colleagues a very happy start to the festive season!
