A day of nature & gnomes for the residents of Cedar House
Posted on Wednesday 16th July
Gardening is a passion for many of the residents across Caring Homes and with the fantastic weather this summer; many have been indulging their hands on hobby.
The staff and residents at Cedar House enjoyed just such a day recently as they spent the day at Notcutts Garden Centre, followed by a trip to Whitlingham Broad, an area of outstanding natural beauty that boasts ancient woodland, lakes and wildflower water meadows.
Everyone loved getting out into the sunshine and looking at the flowers and wildlife. For some reason, the gnomes at the garden centre were particularly popular with the ladies – some may even find their way back to Cedar House!
Located in the quiet village of Yelverton near Norwich, Cedar House is a fine period property providing care and nursing support for up to 24 elderly people. This beautiful former Rectory dates in part back to the 13th century and is a well-known landmark within the village.
