Rendlesham Care Centre is an exceptional purpose built care home providing nursing, residential and specialist dementia care to elderly people.

In this tranquil setting nursing, residential and dementia care is provided for up to 60 people, it is our aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable home with a friendly and companionable atmosphere where residents can enjoy the highest standard of care from highly trained and qualified staff. Rendlesham Care Centre has been thoughtfully designed to take account of the specialised care of individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The building has been designed to support people who suffer from impaired memory and ability to learn and remember, reducing stress and enabling them to retain their skills and independence.

Rendlesham nursing home is a two storey building with access to courtyard gardens. The garden has been designed with specific features and careful planting to provide residents with an accessible and stimulating environment in which they can socialise with friends and family, take part in activities or simply relax. The garden includes shaded seating areas suitable for outdoor eating weather permitting. Awnings above doorways make the transition from house to garden seamless. A pergola walkway leads to a formal garden and lawn area including raised beds and activities area.

Two combined open plan sitting room and dining areas are located on each floor with a separate formal dining room available for private hire on request. A passenger lift ensures that residents can access all areas of the home. The 60 en-suite bedrooms provide comfortable, bright and spacious accommodation. All rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard and residents are encouraged to bring some of their own belongings with them, to help them feel they are a part of familiar surroundings. Special features include memory boxes, which have been placed in the walls next to each bedroom door to help residents find their bedroom easily. Residents can place precious personal items inside the box, such as wedding photographs to act as a reminder. Further, the comfort and safety of the environment is enhanced by automatic lighting which comes on in each bedroom at night to light a safe path to the bathroom.
