About Us

Caring Homes (part of the Caring Homes Group) is one of the largest and most respected independent providers of care for elderly people in the UK, providing residential, nursing and specialist dementia care services for around 3,000 people in over 65 homes. At Caring Homes, our philosophy is centred on the provision of excellent care by an organisation based on family values. This ethos is at the heart of everything that we do and simply reflects the vision and principles of our founders Helena and Paul Jeffery (Mother and Son).

Caring Homes was founded in 1994, with the purchase of Bradbury House in Essex. From those early days, Caring Homes has grown into one of the largest and most highly respected independent providers of care in the country. Throughout that growth, and as we have expanded into new areas of care, Paul and Helena have striven to ensure that we never lose sight of the values on which Caring Homes was founded:

Our commitment to providing the very highest standard of care is demonstrated by the quality ratings we have been awarded by the health and social care regulators CQC (Care Quality Commission). Caring Homes has achieved ISO 9000:2001 accreditation across the whole company, a testament to the quality management systems we have put in place.

Caring Homes is unique amongst care providers in holding the Hospitality Assured Standard. Hospitality Assured is traditionally associated with service and business excellence in the hotel industry. An organisation is only awarded this standard following a rigorous inspection process undertaken by the Institute of Hospitality.
