Mayor to Open New Wing at St Wilfrid's Nursing Home
St Wilfrids Nursing Home, the prestigious care home based in the picturesque village of Halton-on-Lune, has invited the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Keith Budden to open the new ‘Helena Jeffery’ wing on Thursday 26th March.
St Wilfrids is just one of the highly acclaimed nursing homes owned and operated by the Caring Homes Group. The new wing is named after the founder of the Caring Homes Group, Helena Jeffery, who will also be attending the event.
The group was set up by Helena Jeffery, alongside her son, Paul, back in 1994 when she needed to find a care home for an elderly relative, but struggled to find anywhere that met her exacting standards. The naming of the wing is in acknowledgement of her amazing achievement, and in honour of all the hard work and dedication put into developing this phenomenal service and network of homes.
Barbara Addison, Manager of St Wilfrids, says: “We are so proud to have Helena here and are delighted to welcome the Mayor to St Wilfrids to officially opening the new wing for us. We look forward to welcoming everyone along on 26th March to help us celebrate the event.
