Breakfast TV presenter Penny Smith will be the celebrity guest at the Magna Care Centre summer fete at Wimborne, near Poole, on Saturday 25th August.
The GMTV presenter will open the fete and will also have the important task of picking out the raffle prize winners. Penny will also be manning one of the stalls at the event.
The Magna Care Centre is one of the UK’s most prestigious nursing and residential homes for the elderly and is renowned for its idyllic location and Mediterranean style grounds. Terry Bailey, Care Home Manager said: “We are absolutely thrilled that such a high profile TV personality as Penny has been able to accept our invitation to join us at our fete, despite having a very busy schedule. It will be a great opportunity for people from the local community to come along and get to know us and meet Penny at the same time.”
The fete will provide an afternoon of fun for adults and children alike with entertainment, tombola, refreshments, a barbeque, face painting and a variety of stalls. Money raised will be split between the residents’ fund and a charity of residents’ choice. Terry added: “The fete is a great way of maintaining links with local families and having Penny Smith as guest of honour is bound to guarantee a brilliant turn out. We are keen to be as involved with the local community as we possibly can and the fete provides a fun event which whole families can come along and enjoy.”
Terry continued: “We are extremely proud of the wonderful facilities and high standard of care we provide at The Magna Care Centre and the fete gives us the opportunity to show people just how much we have to offer.”
The Magna Care Centre is on the edge of the New Forest; accommodates 68 residents and has been a care home since 1991. Before that it was the home of former England footballer Kevin Keegan, who also ran a sports injury clinic on the site. The single story centre provides luxuriously appointed rooms – all with patio doors leading onto individual courtyards.
The Magna Care Centre is part of the Caring Homes Group – the UK’s largest independent care home operator.
The fete will open from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. To find out more then call Terry Bailey on 01202 601 831 or email info@magnacarecentre.com
