World Snack Day at Claydon House

This week saw the staff and residents of Claydon House gather to celebrate ‘World Snack Day’ in style. Many members of the diverse staff team went to great effort to contribute traditional homemade snacks to reflect their culture, which provided an opportunity for everyone involved to try something new. Chef Tony provided some classic English snacks such as pork pies, sausage rolls and crisps, whilst the wide selection of food from around the globe included Israeli couscous, Belgian wafers, Mediterranean Baklava, Greek stuffed olives, Irish seaweed, Indian biryani, Spanish Chorizo, Mexican spiced chicken and Spanish Sangria. The day proved a huge success, with nearly all of the residents and their visiting relatives trying something they had never had before. Located on a quiet residential crescent at the heart of Lewes, Claydon House provides care and nursing support for up to 47 people.
