Wilfred takes to the water for his 92nd birthday

Wilfred Taylor was delighted to climb board a Waveney Stardust cruiser in celebration of his 92nd birthday recently.

Popular resident Wilfred was joined by some of his closest friends for the four-hour trip, which began at Hipperson Boatyard in Beccles and set sail for Wards Lowestoft.

The motor cruisers are custom-designed to offer everyone the opportunity to explore the Norfolk and Suffolk waterways. The original ‘Waveney Stardust’ has been in service for over 19 years, with a second boat introduced in 2012. In this time, around 55,000 passengers have enjoyed cruises – travelling in excess of 80,000 miles on the Broadland Waterways.

Situated close to Rendlesham Forest, Rendlesham Care Centre is a purpose built home provides nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people.
