Vintage afternoon at Ivy Court

At Ivy Court today we had a vintage scene with a visit from the Hi Di Hi group this afternoon.

They entertained the residents with an old school holiday camp show, just like the old TV show and the kind of holiday we had when they were younger. They were a really lovely group, and they dressed up in special clothing that was in line of the typical clothes you would expect to see at a retro holiday club. The residents and staff got really involved with the singing and dancing.

The entertainers brought a candy floss making machine with them, so they gave out candy floss and ginger beer to all the residents that could have it.

The residents all had a wonderful time, it really lifted spirits and the dancing was a little bit of exercise they didn’t even realise they were doing!

Hopefully we will see Hi Di Hi again soon. Thank you!
