Teddy the PAT dog tours Abbeycrest

The residents of Abbeycrest always enjoy the opportunity to spend time with friendly animals and this week it was the turn of ‘Teddy’ the Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog to be the centre of attention.

Teddy is one of around 4,500 PAT dogs currently involved with Pets As Therapy, a national charity founded in 1983. With his owner Richard in tow, he took a tour of the Oxfordshire home and visited many of the residents in their own rooms, before meeting a group of staff and residents in the sitting room. Teddy lapped up the attention as he was showered with affection and treats throughout the visit.

Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, Abbeycrest offers exceptional residential, nursing and dementia care at the heart of the Chilterns.
