Sevenoaks-on-Sea

Residents at Kippington Care Home in Sevenoaks felt ‘transported’ to the coast recently as they enjoyed a fantastic week themed around the British seaside.
Staff brought all the traditional sights and sounds from the beach with live entertainment provided by Marco the Magician and a traditional Punch & Judy show.
Residents took the opportunity to paint decorative seashells and look at coloured sands from the Isle of Wight. A reminiscence session was held during the week and memories came flooding back of the many happy days spent eating fish and chips on the beach and feeling the sand between their toes.
The themed week certainly got all of the residents in the mood for the home’s annual trip to Eastbourne which is planned for late August.
Located just to the south of Sevenoaks in the Weald of Kent, Kippington has been providing residential and nursing care of the highest standard for nearly 60 years. This beautiful Victorian building was first converted into a care home in the early 1950s and now provides nursing care for up to 52 elderly residents.
