Ready, Steady, Bake!

‘Bake Offs’ have been sweeping our care homes following the conclusion of the popular BBC programme, but Knowle Park hosted a ‘clash of the baking titans’ this week as Manager Ann took on Head Chef Andy for the title of star baker at the Cranleigh home.

In preparation for the much-anticipated battle, they both made a classic fruitcake and a Victoria sponge. Following a lengthy tasting session of all of the cakes amongst the residents and staff, Knowle Park Manager Ann was announced as the winner!

Such was the success of the competition, that they intend to make it a regular fixture in the calendar, with the next bout, featuring their finest savoury dishes, due to take place in the next couple of weeks.

Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, that has been lovingly restored to provide the highest level residential and nursing care for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
