Pony Pals visit Garth House

Pony Pals pay a visit to Garth House, to give residents some much deserved pony therapy.

Garth House residents experienced Pony Pal Therapy in the home, and everyone had a chance to meet “Mr Cheddar”.

The palomino mini-horse is fully house trained, so residents were able to meet Mr Cheddar without having to go outside.

Because Mr Cheddar has been especially trained to use elevators without any distress, he is even able to visit nursing residents’ bedsides!

Mr Cheddar enjoyed grooming, petting and the unbridled attention of everyone at Garth House, and in return gave comfort to all those with a love of animals.

His presence also helped to rekindle childhood memories for residents, staff and visitors alike. No doubt Mr Cheddar’s visit will provide a topic of conversation for a long time to come.
