Polesden Lacey provides glimpse of Edwardian life

A group of residents from Knowle Park spent a fascinating afternoon immersing themselves in Edwardian life at Polesdon Lacey recently.

Polesden Lacey is a grand mansion house surrounded by beautiful sprawling gardens, containing a rich collection of art.

After visiting the house and listening to stories that gave everybody an insight into the Edwardian era (with the house said to be a place of entertainment for the Royal family going back 100 years) the residents had a stroll outside to enjoy the landscaped gardens. The memorable afternoon was concluded with refreshments in the tearoom.

The active group are already looking forward to the next outing to Wisley Gardens in July.
Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, that has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
