The Orchard host their first dementia seminar

The Orchard Nursing Home in St Albans, this week held their first dementia seminar for families and friends of those living at the home.

The seminar was very successful, informative and useful for those that attended, with lots of questions answered. We find that although there is a lot of information out there about dementia, people still don’t know where to turn to ask questions, some of which are very difficult for them to ask in the first place.

The next session will be hosted by Michele Saunders who trains the care teams on our ‘Living in My World’ course, helping us to understand dementia and how to communicate effectively with someone living with dementia. If you are interested in coming along please contact Peter the Home Manager.
