Miranda House summer fete hailed great success

The recent Miranda House summer fete was a huge success despite a brief torrential downpour of rain.

Residents and staff at the dementia care home, which is part of the Caring Homes Group, always enjoy their annual fete and this was no exception.

The event, which welcomes visitors from around Royal Wotton Bassett, was well attended and £700 was raised during the course of the fete. The weather may have been more suited to ducks than fete-goers, but it did not dampen anyone’s spirits.

Miranda House’s Manager, Pat Shaw, said that everyone who attended the event has a great time, commenting:

“We always look forward to our summer fete as it’s well attended by residents’ families and visitors from our local community. It’s always well supported and we’re really pleased that the rain didn’t spoil the day!”

Miranda House is a modern purpose-built home providing specialist nursing and dementia care support for up to 65 elderly residents in the heart of the historic Wiltshire town of Royal Wootton Bassett.
