Mill House Celebrates ‘20 Years of Great Care and Support’ with Vera Lynn day

The staff of local Mill House care home joined thousands of colleagues across dozens of care homes, support services and hospitals up and down the country for a week of celebration as the Caring Homes Group marks ‘20 Years of Great Care Support.’

The purpose built home put its own spin on the event, hosting a colourful Vera Lynn themed day of celebrations, with the ‘Forces’ Sweetheart’ providing a focal figure for the festivities. Everybody at the home got involved in the event, with staff and relatives making an array of delicious home made cakes. Members of staff dressed up for the occasion in 1940’s attire and the traditional music soon turned into karaoke, which soon got everybody in the mood for some dancing.

To mark the celebrations Caring Homes Founding Director sent cup cakes and balloons to every care home, hospital and support service so that all colleagues, residents and service users could join in the anniversary celebrations on 28th March 2014. In addition Caring Homes Group is giving every member of staff across the organisation, a golden ticket that gives them entry into an incredible raffle which promises prizes including a number of luxury holidays, a dozen Ipad’s, corporate hospitality to a number of prestigious events, cameras, televisions and a live draw will take place on the night of the 28th March to identify the winners.

Caring Homes Group owns and operates Award Winning health and social care providers Caring Homes, Consensus Support and Curate Hospitals.

Paul Jeffery explained the values on which the company was founded, and continues to operate by, 20 years on:

‘First and foremost, every Caring Homes Group care home, service or hospital must be exactly that, a caring home for each resident. At the heart of what we do is a desire to provide everyone we support with the opportunity to continue to live life to the full.

To mark this special occasion, Mill House Manager Koren Evans-Slade has paid tribute to the support that the Chipping Campden home has received from the local community:

‘I want to say a special thank you to all of our residents, relatives, staff, health professionals and the local community for supporting us and contributing to Mill House’s chapter in our story. We look forward to providing a high level of care and support for many more years to come!’

Located in the heart of the delightful market town of Chipping Campden, Mill House is a purpose-built care home providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 45 elderly people.
