May sees Hillviews gardens grow

The month of May has been great for Hillview in Sauchie, as the residents continue on their entry to Clackmannanshire in bloom.

With the improved weather and continuous work in the gardens with our potatoes, cabbage, beetroot, cauliflower and sweetcorn, that we planted in our allotment,  and beautiful flowers we planted in April, we are finally starting to see them grow and the gardens bloom!

The residents really enjoy gardening it provides them with a sense of purpose and a lot have previously owned gardens that they enjoyed tending to when they were younger. Gardening is also a great form of exercise even if done in a chair, with lots of fresh air.

Hillview Court provides specialist nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 48 elderly people.
