Janet returns to take over at Dormy House
Janet Varndell, a familiar face within the Caring Homes Group, has recently returned to to take over as Manager of Dormy House in Sunningdale.
Janet is a Registered Nurse with many years experience in a variety of different roles within the care sector. Notably, she was the youngest ward sister at Ashford Hospital in Middlesex, where she worked on the Care of the Elderly ward.
She strives to ensure that beds remain full by maintaining links with health professionals within the local community. Building strong relationships with key influencers in the area ensures that Janet is always up-to-date with new practices and in touch with local knowledge.
“I enjoy meeting with residents and relatives and ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. I take pleasure from bringing out the best in my staff and watching individuals develop through effective training. I firmly believe in an open door policy, everyone is welcome to drop in to my office for a chat and a cup of tea.”
Away from work, Janet is a supporter of Race for Life and participates most years with her daughter. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors, whether it is walking, gardening or driving her car with the roof down!
Located in one of the most sought after residential areas in Sunningdale, adjacent to the world renowned Golf Course, Dormy House offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 88 elderly ladies and gentlemen. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
