Heffle Court’s Community Street Party

Heffle Court celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday this year with a Community Street Party which was officially opened by Charlie Stevens, President of the The Rotary Club of Heathfield & Waldron.

Date: 12th June 2016
From: 3.00pm

We hosted a traditional tea party, complete with antique china which was held beside our garden and Willow Farm with our goats, ducks, chickens and small pets all in attendance too.

We also invited our guests to participate with our celebration challenges, live entertainment and fun activities which included:

Performance by the Heathfield Silver Band

Children and adults ‘Bake Off’ competition
Make a scrumptious cake!
Categories were:

  • 12 years and below
  • 13 – 16 years
  • Adult

Prizes were awarded for each group.

Community Bunting Challenge
Some stunning bunting was created and displayed and judged during our event.

‘Tickles’ professional face painting artist

Raffle and Tombola

Community Stalls

Reminiscence Beach Huts

The Willow Farm was open and we even recreated a ‘pop up’ War Museum in our tearoom that you could explore, evoking many memories of the war and the monarchy.

We would like to thank The Rotary Club of Heathfield & Waldron, who kindly sponsored this event.
