Coxhill residents show off colourful Harvest creations

The residents of Abbeycrest welcomed some unusual visitors this week for one of their interactive wildlife sessions. Chrissie of ‘Chrissie’s Owls’ brought along several of her hand-reared owls to show off to a group of residents at the purpose built home. The group enjoyed a very interesting talk about each of the owls, followed by a Q&A session. A number of the residents also took the opportunity to don the protective handling glove and enjoy the unique experience of having an owl resting on their arm, giving them the chance to see and feel the beautiful birds up close. The visit made for a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, Abbeycrest offers exceptional residential, nursing and dementia care in the heart of the Chilterns.
