Coxhill Manor hosts ‘best garden party yet’

Chobham based Coxhill Manor care home opened its doors to the community this weekend as they held their popular summer garden party.

As the 200 guests arrived, the local Sea Cadets, led by Commanding Officer Paul Chapman provided an escort and a short performance, before the spectacular garden party was kicked off with Bucks Fizz and Champagne.

The soaring temperatures ensured that the landscaped gardens provided the perfect backdrop for the annual event. The splendid buffet lunch prepared by the Coxhill Chef team was accompanied by live entertainment from ‘Javam’ – playing a blend of mellow Jazz with a hint of Blues.

The annual raffle proved popular as always, with all money raised this year being donated to Cancer Research in memory of a long-standing staff member who recently passed away.

One resident, who had lived at the Victorian home for over six years, claimed that ‘this was the best Garden Party yet.’

Coxhill Home Manager Alan Horler, echoed this sentiment:

‘Today’s event was our most impressive yet. The team here has put in so much hard work to make sure the event ran as smoothly as possible, which reflects the care shown throughout the year in supporting residents living at Coxhill Manor.’

Located on the outskirts of Chobham, Coxhill Manor provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
