Birthday celebrations at Standon Hall

The staff and residents of Standon Hall always make an effort to celebrate birthdays and resident George Cartlidge took centre stage recently to celebrate turning 94 in style at the Staffordshire home.

George had a lovely party surrounded by his friends and family including his son and daughter in law Philip and Sheila, school friend Kelvin, who visits him every week and Mary, a fellow resident who is a good friend of his.

Kelvin’s wife made George a beautiful trifle, which they all enjoyed alongside his birthday cake.

Standon Hall is a quite magnificent manor house, which has been sympathetically converted to provide residential care in the form of fine country living for up to 22 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
