Birds of prey take centre stage at Oaken Holt

A local birds of prey expert held a daring demonstration for the residents of Oaken Holt care home recently in the comfort of their own home.

Colin, the expert handler, took two owls along to the Oxfordshire home, where he talked about in-depth them and other birds of prey. The residents were also given the chance to handle the birds with the use of special glove to protect their arms. All of the residents enjoyed the informative talk and they especially liked seeing the birds in such close proximity.

Set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in the heart of Oxfordshire, Oaken Holt is a magnificent country estate in the peaceful village of Farmoor offering residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 55 ladies and gentlemen.
