100th Birthday Celebrations at Coxhill Manor

Coxhill Manor resident and Great Grandmother Doris Stocker celebrated her milestone 100th birthday recently, with the help of staff, residents and her family.

Doris’s five children, two daughters and three sons, all got together at the Victorian home in Chobham to help her mark the momentous occasion. Doris received her eagerly anticipated telegram from her majesty the Queen, as well a telegram from the Pensions Minister Steve Webb.

A few days after her birthday Doris was treated to an even bigger celebration when four generations of her family gathered to commemorate her special day. Her niece, Linda Hurst, Linda’s husband and Doris’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were all there for the birthday bash.

Doris’s daughter, Rose Cree said:

“The celebrations went really well – it was lovely to get everyone together. We are all very proud of mum.”
