Living with Us

Our founding director, registered nurse Helena Jeffery always dreamt of owning a care home. In 1994 that wish became a reality. Helena’s dream was of owning and operating care homes where elderly people could enjoy a continuum of life; revelling in their hobbies, taking up new interests and having the opportunity to engage with their local community. Helena longed to shatter the poor conception of care homes and change the way people think about their autumn years.

In the Living with Us section we set out how Helena fulfilled her ambition and how the Caring Homes approach, which sees each resident as an individual and a “customer” with unique needs, enables our residents to lead fulfilling lives.

This section also outlines our approach to Hospitality services, which has earned us accreditation from the Institute of Hospitality, the Hospitality Assured Standard, an accolade which is synonymous with the hotel and hospitality trade.
