Manager's Profile

I am a registered General and Mental Health Nurse and take particular pleasure from using my extensive nursing and managerial knowledge to make a positive difference to the lives of those in my care. I ensure that the resident’s needs at Magna are our top priority.

I encourage family involvement through a culture of open communication, which has contributed to the excellent reputation that our home has developed in the local area. I believe in maintaining strong relationships with residents and their relatives and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home.

My biggest achievement to date is implementing the first neurological service for people within their own homes that looked at admission avoidance and early discharge from an acute hospital setting.

As Home Manager at Magna I enjoy the variety of each day and always take great pleasure from spending time talking to residents and relatives.

In my spare time I am fortunate to enjoy unlimited access to ten miles of golden beaches around my home county of Dorset.
