L’Hermitage is a stunning purpose-built care home providing residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly ladies and gentlemen in St Peter, Jersey. Located in the prestigious L’Hermitage Gardens Retirement Village and enjoying uninterrupted views to the sea L’Hermitage is one of Caring Homes’ finest services.
Inside and out, no expense has been spared to provide the very highest standards of care in quite sumptuous accommodation. Bedrooms and communal areas in this impressive two-storey home are furnished and decorated to exacting levels. Ground floor rooms benefit from patio areas whilst first floor rooms enjoy balconies overlooking the beautiful Jersey coast. Many rooms are also fitted with the latest in ceiling tracking systems which facilitate accessibility for people with mobility impairments. This enables us to support residents with more complex needs, including those requiring stroke care, cancer care or those living with varying levels of Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis or musculoskeletal disorders amongst others.
L’Hermitage offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. L’Hermitage operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, L’Hermitage’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

Life in a Caring Home is viewed as a continuum of life – an opportunity to gain new experiences and learn new things – whilst maintaining your existing hobbies and interests.
At every Caring Home, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.
An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.
For further information about activities please visit our “living with us” section.
