We always encourage our residents to bring important personal items to furnish their rooms, helping them to make the space their own.

The care we provide

Hillview Court is a modern, purpose-built care centre – each of our houses has its own living and dining facilities and all bedrooms and communal areas are spacious and welcoming. All our houses are single-storey to ensure ease of accessibility.

Two of our houses support older residents with a form of dementia – one of which was in the top three finalist for the 2009 Scottish Care Awards – while another house at Hillview Court provides nursing care for elderly residents.

Three of our houses provide care for people living with learning disabilities, and our newest house is for individuals with acquired brain injuries – including alcohol related illnesses. We support residents aged 18 or over in these houses.

Manager's Profile

I have over 24 years experience providing care in the NHS and private care sector. I joined Caring Homes in 2002 as Deputy Manager at Beechwood Park, then went on to become Manager of Hillview Court later that year. Following this, I commissioned Marchglen Care Centre in December 2006 and managed it until returning to Hillview in November 2012.

I’m a qualified Learning Disability Nurse and have completed SVQ level 4 in Care, and achieved my Registered Manager’s award in 2007. I’m proud to have joined an award winning Care Team, who were awarded “Specialist Care Provider” by the Scottish Care Association for the Acquired Brain Injury Unit in 2011, and were finalists in 2009 for their great work in Dementia Care.

Hillview provides a wide range of care for older people, people with dementia, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury within seven individual units. Underpinning everything we do at Hillview is a strong commitment to providing a high standard of holistic care and to meeting individual wishes and aspirations.

I love the daily challenges associated with managing Hillview Court and particularly enjoy chatting with residents and families; listening to their views and feedback helps us to continually improve. I also strive to work closely with my Care Team to develop their skills and to learn from them.

Whether it be at work or my personal life, I love a challenge and am looking forward to taking part in Race for Life with my daughter Emily Jane – who is helping to spur me on!
