Manager's Profile

As the manager of Gildawood Court in Attleborough, Nuneaton, I lead my dedicated Care Team to provide care for older people living with a form of dementia.

I’m a registered General Nurse, with many years experience working with older people and within a care home environment. I have been awarded a Diploma in Higher Education in Dementia Studies from Bradford University and have attained my NVQ Assessor’s Award, enabling me to support and train my committed Care Team in-house.

I have a real passion for care, and take genuine delight in ensuring residents at Gildawood are fully supported with a nurturing environment in which to live. I enjoy all aspects of my job – providing person centred care for residents, supporting relatives and colleagues, as well as liaising with other professionals to ensure everyone is kept fully informed.

I love supporting my Care Team, spending time with residents and learning all about each resident’s life in order to provide them with a truly exceptional level of care. I can often be found offering guidance and support to others and strive to maintain an open and honest approach, practicing care accordingly.

My proudest achievement to date is being able to hold down a full-time nursing career whilst bringing up a family, as well as becoming Home Manager at Gildawood Court.

Family is a very important part of my life, and this was recognised recently when we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary.
