Based around a beautiful double-fronted Victorian house on the outskirts of the Somerset village of Bishop’s Hull, Frethey House provides residential and specialist nursing care for up to 41 elderly people. Set within beautiful rolling countryside, the home also lies close to Taunton, providing easy access to a wide range of local amenities.

A continuous investment programme ensures that Frethey House benefits from the highest standards of accommodation throughout. The home retains a number of period features and all bedrooms and communal areas are finished to the highest standard. On fine days residents often take advantage of Frethey House’s attractive and peaceful gardens, which offer lovely views over the Somerset countryside.

Frethey House offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Frethey House operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, Frethey House’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.
