Our commitment to care

Deer Park View’s modern and attractive design has been built around the care we provide in the home. Our specialist dementia care follows the University of Stirling’s standards, which are widely acknowledged as providing the best living environment for people living with dementia. Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre is renowned as the world leader in this field.

By using the Stirling approach we can ensure that our residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation. Each bedroom features a memory box by its front door, where mementos from a resident’s life help to personalise their room, reminding visitors and our Care Team of each resident’s individual life story.

The care we provide

We offer a full range of residential, nursing and specialist dementia support at Deer Park View – including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. At Deer Park View we are well equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome. Our kind and compassionate Care Team never loses sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Deer Park View is our residents’ home.

Manager's Profile

Having worked in healthcare since the age of 17, I have a wealth of experience and qualifications. I was keen to join Caring Homes due to the hands-on style of the senior management team. I have since been recognised with two awards for excellence and have been nominated on three occasions.

I take particular pleasure from using my extensive nursing and managerial knowledge to make a positive difference to the lives of those in my care. I encourage family involvement through a culture of open communication, which has contributed to the excellent reputation that our home has developed in the local area.

I place the wishes of residents at the heart of the care provided at Deer Park View, working closely with my Care Team to develop a personalised care plan with each resident, catering for their specific needs and ensuring that they have choice and control over how their care is delivered.

With the home overlooking Bushy Park, a large open space renowned for its wildlife, I love the countryside feel of life at Deer Park View. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching TV and spending time with my family.
