We offer residential, nursing and dementia care provided by outstanding highly-skilled professionals. Our in-house chefs and hospitality team, gardeners, fully trained care and nursing teams all ensure that the time residents spend here is as rewarding for them as it is for us.

We have created a state-of-the-art modern care home with exceptional facilities and the highest quality finish. Practical bedrooms with en-suite facilities and carefully considered furniture arrangements suit the specific care needs of our residents.

The comfortable environment with impressive decoration, belies the careful, thoughtful design. We have taken into account ease of movement and navigation, good visibility and accessibility, and introduced memory aids to promote maximum independence and confidence. Our dementia-friendly design features include strong lighting coupled with the use of colour and contrast for safety and perception, plus clear signage with icons to help wayfinding. In addition, low windowsills enable residents to admire wildlife including squirrels and birds in the gardens.

Care – giving a helping hand

We are dedicated to providing dignified and respectful residential and nursing dementia care. What matters most to us is the wellbeing of each of our residents, whatever their circumstances, whatever their needs. We have experience of listening, learning and sharing ideas to develop and understanding of continuous, sensitive care.

Before each resident’s arrival we create a detailed individual care plan, in consultation with them, their family, and any appropriate health and social care professionals. This guides us in understanding likes, dislikes, needs and wants, helping residents to   feel at home quickly. It includes a wealth of information from preferred waking times and food favourites to pastimes, interests and health issues, and is frequently updated to reflect any changes.

Lifestyle – for a life less ordinary

Living at Belmont House, ‘everyday’ for a resident stays just as they like it, maintaining the continuity of recent times. When we couple a deeper understanding of current or former hobbies and interests, this helps us support them to enjoy their life more fully.

We find people want to keep as active a mind as possible and, if the body obliges, that too. With activity comes a renewed zest for life. For residents seeking a life less ordinary a variety of activities, events, entertainment and trips are on offer.

The lifestyle a resident leads is very much the lifestyle they want. Dependent on an individual resident’s needs there are a number of enhancements we offer which can add to the quality of life, especially in a care home setting. As a home offering residential, nursing and dementia care across three different areas of the home we recognise everyone is different, and we celebrate that, which is why we offer such a wide and varied programme with differing levels of engagement.

Hospitality on a plate

Mealtimes are an event much anticipated and sure to be savoured by residents and visitors to Belmont House. Our Hospitality Manager leads a customer focused team including our Head Chef who sources seasonal and local produce for our daily menus. There are always plenty of tasty options to choose from shaped by feedback from residents,   families and visitors. We cater for all dietary requirements, including the monitoring of hydration, nutrition and weight. They are recorded in care plans where appropriate.

Room service is always available or meals can be taken in the dining room with dedicated waiting staff on hand to help. Guests are welcome to join residents for lunch by appointment.

Care fees and funding

Our range of fees is determined to ensure the safety of our residents and the comfortable running of their home. Fees are competitive, reviewed annually, and can vary based on individual care needs, size or aspect of room, and duration of stay.

Depending on an individual’s needs some funding assistance may be available. When you visit the home please ask about the allowances and how we may help you request any funding entitlements.

We recommend that making the decision on how to fund a care home placement is ideally done with the support of a professional advisor. We understand that finance plays a large part in most people’s decision so we can help you find accredited industry specialists who can provide reassuring independent advice.

Manager's Profile

I am passionate about providing high quality care. My aim is to offer the highest quality of care in the area, within a loving home that listens to the views and ideas of the people who live here. It’s all about the people that we look after and their families.

I trained at a Nightingale School of Nursing and have been qualified since 1980. I worked in the NHS after I qualified until 1995, at which point I moved into private Nursing homes. I have worked in some very high standard homes, and achieved an “Outstanding” from the CQC in the category of “Well Led” for my first Home Manager role.

As the Home Manager, I am here to ensure that the home meets the high standards of Caring Homes, as well as those required by the registration authority and the Care Quality Commission. I’m here to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective home that is well led.

My biggest career achievements so far include winning a Management Award and being recognised for outstanding leadership by the CQC in my first post. My skills and knowledge are two things that I bring to my role as Home Manager, and my passion for nursing is another.

I have lived in Bromley for six years and love being so close to London, it enables me to enjoy going to the theatre which is one of my loves. I also enjoy going to the movies, socialising with friends, travelling, and being around animals.

I chose to come to Caring Homes because I share the organisation’s ethos and feel strongly about providing high standards of care and support. When I met Helena Jefferies, cofounder of Caring Homes, I was pleased to find that we shared the same passion for nursing and care.
