Located within the grounds of L’Hermitage Gardens Retirement Village, in St Peter, Jersey, Beaumont Villa provides the very highest standards of specialist dementia care for up to 24 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
This purpose-built home truly represents the epitome of Caring Homes’ commitment to delivering outstanding care in homes of character and distinction. Residents’ bedrooms and communal areas are beautifully appointed as befits a home of this standard. Caring Homes has applied Stirling University’s guidelines for dementia care provision, ensuring that rooms are light and airy and communal spaces are appropriately laid out to avoid confusion or distraction.
The Stirling model is widely accepted as best practice and ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation. Each bedroom features a memory box by its front door, where mementos from a resident’s life help to personalise their room and also remind staff and visitors of the individual’s life story.
Beaumont Villa is ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsacoff’s syndrome. However, staff never lose sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Beaumont Villa is home to our residents. The home has a welcoming ambience and residents benefit from a broad and stimulating range of activities tailored to meet each individual’s needs.
The home offers a full range of residential support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Beaumont Villa operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all of our homes, Beaumont Villa’s manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Health and Social Services and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.

At every Caring Home in Jersey, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.
An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.
