Frank Cummins
Heading up our Clinical Services Team, is Frank Cummins, RMN DipAppSS Cert.HlthProm BSc(Hons)
Frank qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse in 1986 at Winwick Hospital in Warrington and initially worked in elderly care, taking charge of a 40 bedded mixed gender elderly unit for residents in the latter stages of Alzheimer’s disease before commencing employment at Ashworth Hospital in Liverpool .
For five years worked with mentally ill patients, two years with personality disordered patients and four years with female patients who self injure. Frank completed numerous presentations both locally and nationally on severe challenging behaviour as well as implementing a number of treatment strategies for self injury which are still utilised in the NHS today.
He commenced employment at one of the UK’s largest healthcare companies in 1998, initially as a Care Services Manager overseeing all specialist facilities before being promoted to Group Care Manager in 2000 and overseeing all elderly care facilities as well.
Frank put into place a number of initiatives including the Quality Auditing System which gained HQS recognition and the Outcome Based Evaluation document which links fees specifically to care given, Frank later became Clinical Director in 2002 taking on all responsibility for care and training and commenced employment with Caring Homes in January 2005 in the role of Clinical Director and has continued to promote his high standards, instilling the culture of excellence that Caring Homes enjoys today.
The Clinical Services Team are responsible for overseeing the following functions:
- Quality Management
- Regulations and Registration Management
- Inspection / Auditing
- Clinical Governance
- Compliments, Complaints
