Company profile
Caring Homes was originally founded in 1994 by Paul and Helena Jeffery through the purchase of Bradbury House Care Home in Braintree, Essex, a year later they purchased Cedar House Nursing Home in Yelverton, Norfolk.
Soon afterwards, Paul and Helena were joined by Craig Griffin. Craig was an associate of Paul’s and possessed a great deal of experience in commercial property purchasing and development.
Craig helped Paul and Helena to find additional care and nursing homes which fulfilled the criteria identified by them, enabling them to focus on operations whilst growing and developing the organisation.
More than a decade on, Paul, Helena and Craig maintain active roles within the organisation, which is now regarded as the largest independently owned and operated Care Home group in the United Kingdom, today providing services not only to elderly people, but also younger people with learning disabilities through it’s brand Consensus, with enduring mental health problems, through it’s brand, Curate and supports vulnerable families who would benefit from a period of assessment and parenting support through their brand, Cheshire House Group.
